Description

A regular market turning into a bustling place each Sunday.

Officially started as market in 1880, and historically dating back to 16th century as a street trading point, the East Street Market was regularily visited even by Charlie Chaplin.

On a regular day (except Monday) you will find here a variety of flower stalls and some other trading points, but on Sunday this place become alive with over 250 stalls and vendors. You can buy here everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to African clothes and materials.

There are also shops and establishments all across the East Street, together with some vendors and bufets for refreshments and food.

You can even relax in the Nursery Row Park just next to the market.

Market is open TUE-SUN mostly specialising in flowers and few other stalls, but on SUN you will find here around 250 stalls with everything you might need

Smaller park, usually full of entreprenours from the surrounding business centers, or the US embassy just next to the park. You will find two pleasant fountains in this spot, where you can sit down and relax. There is a statue of Franklin Delano Roosvelt, the 32nd president of...
Children’s playground with a concrete sports ground where you can play streetball or any ball game. The jungle gyms and swings are a bit older, but fully usable. There is also a small park behind the nearby house.
